An approved development reimagining the Retreat at Wisemans, creating a private retreat with perfect waves, just outside the city.
Just 60 minutes from the Harbour Bridge or 45 minutes up the river from Palm Beach is Wisemans Ferry. Nestled on the fringes of the breathtaking Dharug National Park in a valley of ancient sandstone, this pristine patch of bushland will soon be home to Wisemans Surf Lodge.
A surf-side resort experience, for your enjoyment.
This two-story, multi-room Clubhouse will be the heart of the member community, with views of the entire pool and the golf course. A members bar, outside fire-pit and infinity pool for sundowners, event and co-working space, workout and high performance areas.
With an outlook over the pool’s perfect waves and out onto the valley’s famous sandstone escarpments, the 54 suites will each be fully refurbished, offering all the creature comforts a modern surfer or family could ask for.
With its surf-side vista, cafe, bar and restaurant, the 200m pool deck, woven between lawns and landscape by Will Dangar, will offer a variety of experiential areas, indoors and out, spas and cabanas and links to quieter gardens and lawns.
Renowned for its focus on quality produce and experiential dining, Northern NSW’s famous Harvest Group will be bringing a love of wholesome food to Wisemans Surf Lodge.
With locally sourced, fresh artisanal ingredients, the team will offer a unique food and beverage service for members and the public across the restaurant, poolside dining, Clubhouse, private events, and experiential gardens.
More than just surfing
The existing golf course will undergo a refresh of fairways, greens and tee boxes, suitable for all skill levels for members and the public.
With learn-to-surf classes, a high performance academy, local produce workshops, kids club, and acres of space, keeping the grommets entertained will be easy.
Curated by Olympic Head Coach, Bede Durbidge, Wisemans uses a content and review approach plus gym facilities to help members improve their surfing.
Indulge in self-care with a holistic offering including spa treatments, infrared sauna, yoga, gym, fitness classes and mobility sessions.
Guests have access to boating services to explore the many pockets of the Hawkesbury or to wakeboard and waterski some of the flattest waters in Sydney.
Wisemans offers a curated event series for members and a unique experience for corporate and private events of all sizes.
Led by renowned Australian architect, Kelvin Ho, the development is an adaptive reuse of the existing resort.
